To save her younger brother, Leticia's parents forced her to marry a disfigured millionaire. To her surprise, she discovered on her wedding night that the groom was actually her ex-boyfriend Pluto Cameron. "Why did you marry me?" Leticia asked as she had agreed to marry a stranger to avoid any further entanglements with Pluto, but now he was her husband. Did he still have feelings for her? The small flame of hope in her heart was reignited, but she remained skeptical as she still couldn't understand why he had abruptly called off their engagement and even humiliated her in front of every one three years ago. Upon hearing her question, Pluto leaned in close to her ear, his voice low and magnetic, "I married you because I love you. How could I bear to see you marry someone else?"
"Do your best to please Mr. Hanks. The future of our company depends on you."
Leticia Minster stared at the room card and frowned. She knew that her father was eager to use her as a bargaining chip as soon as she returned from abroad.
Her mother noticed her hesitation and snapped, "We've spent a lot of money on you over the years! How dare you act so ungrateful? And don't act like you're innocent. You lost your virginity a long time ago!"
Leticia couldn't help but laugh at the cruel remark. She had almost forgotten that her parents had sold her virginity for a hefty sum three years ago.
She wouldn't have come back if her little brother's health hadn't gotten worse. And now, her parents pulled the same stunt to make her a rich man's plaything just to save their business.
Leticia said with a sarcastic smile, "Okay."
Her parents finally let her go after seeing her nod.
Leticia's father, Jerry Minster, looked at Leticia's curvy figure and smiled smugly.
A few men with impressive looks sat on the couch nearby, catching every word Jerry said. They all turned to look at a man in the corner.
Pluto Cameron was drinking in silence, and his eyes were fixed on the glass in his hand. His handsome face remained impassive, as though he hadn't heard a single word. However, his hostility made the men around him Letty.
He was the buyer of Leticia's virginity.
Leticia held the room card and entered the hotel room reluctantly.
Mr. Hanks had just finished taking a shower. He gave her an indecent look, saying, "Hey doll, you're finally here. I've been waiting for you."
His flirtatious comment gave Leticia chills.
Mr. Hanks rushed forward, rudely grabbing Leticia's wrist and dragging her towards the bed.
Leticia didn't resist and even gave him a gentle smile, which made him even more obsessed with her.
The next second, Mr. Hanks's desire took over and he threw himself at her.
But before he could lay a hand on Leticia, a sharp pain struck his neck. The world went dark, and he collapsed, unconscious and falling to the ground.
Leticia kicked away his fat body in disdain, got up from the bed, and arranged her clothes.
She had been disappointed with her parents before coming back. After all, her parents always considered her less valuable than their benefits.
She was a person, not an item to be bought and sold at will! Her compliance had ceased three years ago. Now her sole desire was to live for her own sake!
She slapped the room card on Mr. Hanks's face and left the room without hesitation.
But as soon as she came out of the room, she bumped into a man's arms. Leticia was so scared that she took a few steps back and apologized, "Sorry, I..."
The rest of her words were stuck in her throat, and she suddenly couldn't bring herself to speak.
The man in front of her was Pluto. He humiliated Leticia by breaking off the engagement with her three years ago, which resulted in her fleeing the country.
"I guess I'm out of luck," Leticia thought.
